Get 4 peach varieties on one tree with our 4 Way Peach Combination tree. These trees have been grafted with four of the following five possible varieties: Reliance, Veteran, Red Haven, Oregon Curl-free and Elberta
You can read about Reliance, Red Haven, and Oregon Curl-free on their respective pages. Information about the other possible varieties on this combo are as follows:
Veteran is a seedling from Early Elberta that was selected in Canada for its extreme cold hardiness. In fact, it is considered by some to be one of the most cold hardy peaches available. The light pink blossoms are late arriving and quite resistant to frost damage, even when fully open. The trees are vigorous and produce reliable crops of medium to large fruit. One of the best all-around peaches, fruit from Veteran are great for fresh eating, but are especially good for use in canning, cooking, freezing and drying with their yellow flesh, easy to peel skins, and freestone pits. The flavor is a nice balance between sweet and tart.
Elberta is a well-loved classic variety that is prized for it’s delicious, juicy, freestone peaches. Its outstanding taste and texture have made it one of the most widely planted peach varieties in American history. Elberta peaches are great for fresh eating, but they really excel for use in canning, cooking and freezing. These vigorous trees require regular pruning and thinning for best results. Tends to be an early bloomer – not best for areas that receive late-spring frost.
Please Note: We cannot guarantee specific variety requests for combo trees due to the numerous factors that can affect successful grafting. However, if you have a preference, you can let us know in the order notes at checkout and we will do our best to find a tree that matches your preferences, if possible.
Self-fertile – no need to plant a second tree for cross-pollination since the different varieties on this tree will pollinate each other.
