Arctic Raspberry

Enjoy delicious, fresh raspberries in the summer while beautifying your landscape with the foliage of this super hardy plant! Also known as Nagoonberry, these thornless raspberry plants grow to be a mature height of 5-6 inches tall and moderately spread 12 inches or more to make a dense mat of green leaves. They have appeal from spring all the way through fall. First, in late spring, the pinkish-lavender flowers appear soon turning into petite, reddish-purple raspberries by mid-summer. Then in the autumn the green foliage turns to lovely shades of red and burgundy. The berries have a sweet-tart flavor and are great for fresh eating. These new superior varieties are from a Swedish breeding program and feature heavier crops, fragrant flowers, and beautiful fall color.
Arctic Raspberries are pest and disease resistant, like half day to full sun and can establish quickly in all soil types. They are extremely hardy to -50°F (USDA zone 2). They begin bearing 1-2 years after planting and can produce about one pound of fruit per plant at maturity. Must plant at least two different varieties for cross-pollination.
