Cornelian Cherry

This unique and attractive form of Dogwood is native to Ukraine and other regions around the Black Sea. Forming a shrub or small tree, it is prized for its tasty fruit and for its ornamental value. Our unique Ukrainian varieties produce unusually large, sweet, and flavorful fruit, which tastes similar to a mixture of cherry and raspberry. As an ornamental, Cornelian Cherry produces profuse, very early blooming, yellow flowers followed by bright red or yellow fruit and yellow and red fall color. Cornelian Cherry fruit is good for fresh eating, preserves, juice, and wine.

  • Light: Full sun – half day sun
