This thornless veriety of red raspberry produces abundant crops of large and delicious fruit with excellent flavor. An everbearing variety, Joan J produces 2 crops per year with it’s first crop ripening around June and it’s fall crop ripening about 2 weeks earlier than Heritage Raspberry in September. The berries have a good amount of firmness which helps them hold together better for freezing or shipping and are great for either fresh eating or processing. The canes are stout and stand up pretty well on their own.
Self-fertile – can produce it’s full potential of fruit alone.
